Kevin Durant accused of being a Major ‘Problem’ and the fall out from Frank Vogel firing

Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns appeared to have gotten his wish last week when head coach Frank Vogel was fired after just one season.

Following a disappointing NBA Playoffs first-round loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Vogel was fired. Also, there were rumors of drama in the desert at the time.

Speaking on “First Take” on Monday, Stephen A. Smith shared some information from the Suns’ internal communications. It doesn’t give KD the best possible impression.

“Kevin Durant is an issue in Phoenix.” It is an issue. The stats are there, so we don’t notice it. Smith said on Monday that “he and (Devin) Booker] averaged 27 points per game.” It’s said that Kevin Durant never seems content. They claim that he didn’t even speak with the head coach for more than a month.

There will be an issue if a head coach and his best player don’t communicate. That’s not even debatable.

Midway through the 2022–23 season, Durant forced his way out of the Brooklyn Nets and completed his first full season with the Suns. That followed a tumultuous three-year tenure with the Golden State Warriors. This might have a theme, for sure.
