Bruins captain Brad Marchand drop a troubling news that makes fans react

Following his removal by Sam Bennett, Brad Marchand, the captain of the Boston Bruins, didn’t hold back when speaking with the media.

Following what was clearly a nasty hit on the 36-year-old by the Florida Panthers forward in Game 3, Marchand suffered an upper-body injury that caused him to miss two games. The senior player for the Boston Bruins is anticipated to play in Game 6; in his initial media appearance following the Bennett hit, he made no mention of wanting retribution. Marchand, though, feels that’s just a part of playoff hockey, pointing out that in a seven-game series, every team is attempting to eliminate the other.

Paul Maurice, the head coach of the Panthers, acknowledged that he doesn’t pay attention to the headlines. He also expressed some disapproval of Marchand’s remarks after learning about them.

“I’m sure that made all of you pleased as well. Maurice joked with reporters, “We got some juice stuff now,” according to Florida Hockey Now. “I believe that everything is more concentrated on during the playoffs. What has changed? Each hit is completed, and each hit is completed to the highest degree possible. If that were the case, I doubt our game would last ten minutes because the referees would place all of the players in the box. It isn’t true, in my opinion. I believe everything is concentrated.

Maurice made the observation that the players would not survive if the Panthers and Bruins performed in the regular season as they did in the second round.

Whether you agree with Maurice or not, it appears that Boston and Florida are getting ready for what promises to be an entertaining Game 6 at TD Garden as the Bruins look to end their season.
