Status updates on three of the Florida State Seminoles’ 2025 football commits

The 247Sports Composite rankings place Florida State as the 41st-best recruiting class for the 2025 cycle. Seminole supporters do not want to be here since the illustrious football program expects to be among the top ten.

With five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., four-star defensive end Javion Hilson, and four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard, Florida State only has four commitments.

Since January, when four-star defensive end Javion Hilson from Cocoa, Florida switched his promise from Alabama to Florida State following the retirement of famous head football coach Nick Saban, the Seminoles have not received a commitment.

He has an official visit with the Crimson Tide slated for June 7th, but regrettably, they are closing up on him in terms of recruiting. Nevertheless, after visiting with the gifted pass rusher, defensive coordinator Adam Fuller and defensive ends coach John Papuchis are making every effort to retain Hilson.

According to the 247 Composite Rankings, Hilson is the top defensive end prospect. His junior season in 2023 saw him record 14 sacks, therefore the Seminoles cannot afford to lose him. For the record, on June 21st, he will be paying Florida State an official visit.
