Tiger Woods blames 1 big factor for missing the cut at PGA Championship

This week at the PGA Championship, Tiger Woods had a terrible day and missed the cut after shooting seven over par in the first two rounds. In the end, the great golfer understands exactly why he struggled so much during the two rounds.

Woods acknowledged on Friday that his health has prevented him from playing more frequently, and he attributed his difficulties to his lack of tournament participation.

According to Dylan Dethier of Golf.com, Woods stated, “I just need to play more.” Regrettably, neither my schedule nor my playing history indicate that I have participated in many events. Hopefully, during my at-home practice sessions, everything will work out and I’ll be prepared for Pinehurst.

Since the year 2023 began, Woods has only participated in six competitions, including the PGA Championship. Since three of those six tournaments have been majors, he prefers to compete in the hardest events, which only serves to compound the difficulty of the situation.

At the Masters last month, Woods made the cut, but during the last two days, he collapsed badly. He didn’t seem any better on Thursday or Friday at Valhalla.

To perform more regularly, the 48-year-old needs tournament repetitions. Sadly, it doesn’t appear like his body is set up to enable him to receive them.
