Bruins Goaltender Linus Ullmark addresses future In Boston as he provides timeline departure

For the most part of Boston’s Stanley Cup playoff run, Jeremy Swayman was in goal, so Bruins fans hadn’t heard from Linus Ullmark in a while.

However, the 2023 Vezina Trophy winner broke his silence two days after the Black and Gold’s season came to an end.

During his Sunday media conference, Ullmark talked about a range of subjects, including his thoughts on playing just one postseason game. The seasoned goalie was also questioned about his prospects in Boston.

“This place, my future? According to a team-provided video, Ullmark told reporters, “I have one more year.” “I’m quite enthusiastic about the future. It promises to be an incredible summer. I have a lot of motivation, along with a healthy dose of inspiration and retaliation. Above all, though, is the anticipation of what lies ahead.

Although Ullmark still has one year left on his current Bruins contract, questions regarding his future were reasonable given that he was the focus of trade speculations in the run-up to the NHL trade deadline in March. The 30-year-old said that it was challenging to handle the commotion, particularly given it was his first experience participating in trade reports.

Ullmark is obviously focused on setting himself up for a fantastic 2024–25 season, but he has little influence over rumors.
