EXCLUSIVE: Caitlin Clark Issues a Shocking Statement to Indiana Fever Fans as She….

Caitlin Clark posted a little note to Instagram the night before her home debut with the Indiana Fever.

“Indy, are you ready? We are.” Clark posted on Instagram Stories on May 8.
Since 2023, Clark, the first overall selection in the WNBA draft, has been a national hero. Early in her WNBA career, the NCAA’s all-time top scorer continued that tradition, drawing national attention to the Fever’s May 3 preseason opening against the Dallas Wings.
On May 9, fans may expect something similar—a filled Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Indiana Pacers’ NBA playoff series against the New York Knicks forced the Fever to reschedule their preseason game against the Atlanta Dream from May 10.

“This is a Wonderful Time for the City of Indianapolis,” says Caitlin Clark.
Clark declared that the day following the Fever’s home opener, she would go to the Pacers game. The Pacers’ assistant coach is her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery.

During a May 8 shoot-around, Clark remarked, “It’s a great time for the city of Indianapolis—the Fever, the Pacers… two really great organizations that are really investing and wanting to make it really good.” Seeing what the Pacers have been up to is really great because I’ve been following them the entire season. I’m sure this place will be rocking when they return, hopefully managing to snag one in New York first.

First, the fans will rock for Clark’s first home game as a WNBA player. Clark’s early impact on the Fever and the WNBA has already led to sold-out arenas and enhanced media coverage of the league.

“Anytime you get to play in front of your home environment — don’t have to travel — just makes things a little bit better. And obviously, it’s my first time out here,” Clark said. “Played in this arena before [with Iowa], but it will obviously be a little bit different, you know, wearing a Fever uniform.”

“So more than anything, I’m just getting excited to get out there and run for the first time,” Clark added.

After nearly two weeks of training camp, Clark reported that she could see her squad starting to gel. She gave head coach Christie Sides and general manager Lin Dunn credit for setting the foundation.

Clark stated, “I think everyone just has a positive attitude and I think acceptance, too.” “It’s evident that everyone genuinely cares about one another, regardless of your position on the team or the number of minutes you spend playing.”

She went on, “I think everyone just wants the best for themselves and wants to have a really successful season.” The coaching staff must first establish a positive locker room culture and assemble the right players. Lin did a fantastic job with that. Christie’s done a fantastic job with it. Therefore, I would suggest that everyone’s attitude of competition and simultaneous support is what matters most.
