Although he has urged “patience,” Mike Krack is “convinced” Aston Martin will battle for victory alongside its Formula One opponents.
Aston Martin’s highest point total of the season was achieved by Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, who placed sixth and seventh respectively in the Canadian Grand Prix during the weekend. Positively, Alonso trailed race winner Max Verstappen by just 17.5 seconds.
Although it was the most competitive Aston Martin of the season, Alonso had already earned six podiums by this past year.
In contrast to Aston Martin, Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren, and Mercedes all appear to have packages that can contend for victories these days.
It led to a three-team battle for the win in Montreal, in which Aston Martin was not involved.
“It was a really close, hard fight for the win,” Krack said to a small group of reporters, including RacingNews365.

Even though Krack is disappointed that Aston Martin hasn’t challenged for a race win this year, he is confident the team will be competitive shortly.
Although the impending triple-header in Spain, Austria, and Great Britain does present challenges, Krack is certain that Aston Martin can outperform the other four teams with more enhancements scheduled for the future.

Aerodynamic development, the primary performance differentiator in Formula One, is a time-consuming process. Therefore, it may take several weeks to obtain something that you find on the floor today.
