Helmut Marko questions Lance Stroll’s F1 commitment as he issues a brutal statement to….

“Does he truly want to be a driver?” Helmut Marko queries Lance Stroll’s devotion to Formula One.
Despite several “very good races” in the sport, Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko questions whether Lance Stroll “really wants to be a driver” in Formula 1.

In his time in Formula 1, the 25-year-old has claimed three podiums and a pole position, but Marko acknowledged that he “has his ups and downs” as a driver.

Is Lance Stroll someone who “works very hard to achieve good results?” Helmut Marko queries.
Although Marko praised Stroll for his exceptional career exploits, the Red Bull motorsport advisor spoke to Canadian media about the Aston Martin driver despite Stroll’s recent reaffirmation of his commitment to the Aston Martin project.

When asked what he saw in Stroll, Marko told Le Journal de Montréal, “I remember his very good race leading up to his podium in Baku with Williams in 2017, and I remember him taking pole position from us (Red Bull) in Turkey in 2020.”

He has seen ups and downs since then. There were some excellent races and some rather mediocre ones.

“I wonder if he works really hard to achieve good results and if he really wants to be a driver.”

Marko responded, “It’s difficult to say, because I don’t know him well enough and I’m not close enough to him to really judge his efforts,” when asked if he is currently doing enough in Formula 1. I’ve observed him. He has highs and lows.

To allay any worries that he was not fully committed to the team’s future success, Stroll, for his part, recently reaffirmed his dedication to the cause at Aston Martin.

In Monaco, Stroll said to the media, including PlanetF1.com: “It’s incredible to see how far we’ve progressed as a team over the last five years.” As a team, we’ve come a long way since we were wearing pink.

“There are a lot of pieces to this puzzle that are really coming together, like the wind tunnel that is currently under construction and the amazing facility we moved into last year in Silverstone.

This project is really exciting because, in addition to the bright individuals who have been working on it for many years, a number of new talented individuals have joined or are joining.

Therefore, in my opinion, this is here to stay. My thoughts are focused on that.

“I’m definitely committed to the entire project,”

As I mentioned before, we’ve gone from a team with 350–400 members in 2019 to one that is currently exceeding 1000 members. From eighteen months ago to the present, Silverstone looks considerably different.

“So yes, I’m thrilled to be a part of this project and I’m definitely committed.”
