Pérez is married to Carola Martínez Galindo, and they have four children.
Pérez is Catholic. Both Pérez brothers are association football fans, stating that they thought about leaving car racing to play professionally.
The brothers are friends of Mexican footballer Javier Hernández.
An attorney representing Sergio Perez filed a motion to voluntarily set for the hearing with divorce documents. The Guardian reported.
“There have been rumors about my personal life recently, which is unfortunate,” Sergio said in a statement to the outlet. “Responding to each rumor is a fool’s game.
Over the past weeks, my wife and I have realized that our best future was as a family together. We will resolved this but now this is what she want.
