Fernando Alonso makes a troubling statement as he reveals a major…..

Renowned Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso recently discussed what he believes has changed significantly since his debut in 2001 regarding the core of the sport. Alonso claims that because to the advancements in technology over the years, driving has become “easier” for the current generation of drivers.

“It is, in a good way, easier for the drivers of this generation to drive Formula 1 cars,” Alonso told The Times (via Racing News365), drawing a distinction between the previous difficulties that gave drivers of his generation an almost “heroic” air.

As he looks back on his remarkable 21-year career, which started with Minardi and saw him become a two-time world champion, Alonso considers how the Formula 1 scene has changed significantly. Not only have contemporary developments changed the driving experience, but they have also changed how drivers are perceived in society. He thought back to a time when his generation of teenage racers were looked up to as “heroes” because of their courage and ability.

“Earlier, it was more valiant. It’s an odd sensation, not depressing, but I recall that when I made my debut and showed up at an event, people treated me with respect and considered me to be one of those heroes who drove these incredibly fast cars,” Alonso said.

The transition to a data-driven sport has been significant, marking a departure from the instinctive driving of the past. Alonso noted: “I remember when I got to Formula 1 20 years ago, the engineer was not able to explain anything to me about the car.”
