Breaking News: Mavericks Have Reportedly Made A Shocking Decision About Tim Hardaway Jr.

After losing to the Boston Celtics in the 2024 NBA Finals, the Dallas Mavericks are already making plans for the next season.

A few vulnerabilities that Dallas hopes to avoid next season were made clear by their loss to the Celtics.
According to Marc Stein and NBA Central, the Mavs are trying to trade small forward Tim Hardaway Jr.

Since 2019, Hardaway has been a player for Dallas.

The Mavericks are more likely than ever to pick up their long-standing quest for a trade partner to take on Hardaway as he nears the end of his current contract and sees his salary drop from $17.9 million in 2023–24 to $16.2 million in 2024–25, according to league sources, according to Stein.

According to a number of media sources, Hardaway and his father will be happy to see a trade.

In addition to being an NBA player for five different teams, including the Mavs, Tim Hardaway is a five-time All-Star and a member of the Naismith Hall of Fame.

Recently, Hardaway senior expressed his displeasure with the way the team was using his son.

Hardaway Jr. was Dallas’s third-leading scorer in the 2023–24 regular season.

He didn’t, however, make much of an impression throughout the playoffs.

In the 2013 NBA Draft, Hardaway Jr. was selected by the New York Knicks with the 24th overall pick.

Hardaway played in the NBA’s G-League following stints with the Knicks and the Atlanta Hawks.

He went back to the Knicks in 2017 before being traded to Dallas in January 2019 along with Kristaps Porzingis, a current Celtic.
