Smith is currently in the latter stages of his NFL career at the age of 33. His goal is to end his career on a high note. He might be able to continue starting for a few more years if he has a strong 2024 season.
This offseason, Sam Howell was added as Smith’s backup. There are others who believe Smith might be pushed for playing time by the young quarterback.
