Seattle Seahawks Head Coach makes big statement on QB Geno Smith

A new era in football is about to begin for the Seattle Seahawks as they prepare for the 2024 NFL season.

Pete Carroll’s days of setting the pace are long gone. With Mike Macdonald taking over, the Seahawks aim to return to the status as a genuine Super Bowl contender.

There are a lot of the same elements in Seattle despite the abundance of new stuff. Even though many supporters wanted the team to upgrade at quarterback this offseason, Geno Smith is still the starting quarterback for the team. In order to demonstrate that he is still deserving of the starting position, he wants to have a breakout season.

The Seahawks appear to be very comfortable with Smith, despite the fact that some fans don’t love him.
Head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, Geno Smith, Is Not Hiding His Opinions Mackdonald expressed his thoughts about his seasoned quarterback without holding back.

“I believe he needs to be the calm voice in the room when things start to get rough, and he is.” He is the spearhead of our operation; all you need to do is know when to apply the gas and when not to.

Smith just finished a strong 2023 season playing for the Seattle Seahawks.

He completed 3,624 yards, 20 touchdowns, and nine interceptions on 64.7 percent of his throw attempts. These figures demonstrate that Smith is still more than capable of achieving significant output.

Smith is currently in the latter stages of his NFL career at the age of 33. His goal is to end his career on a high note. He might be able to continue starting for a few more years if he has a strong 2024 season.
This offseason, Sam Howell was added as Smith’s backup. There are others who believe Smith might be pushed for playing time by the young quarterback.

With position rivalry providing an added incentive, Smith ought to flourish and manage to have a successful season with the Seattle Seahawks.
