ESPN: Green Bay Packers Reveals a Unique Plan for Former Titans QB

There is still a chance for a former quarterback for the Tennessee Titans to play for the Green Bay Packers.
The Green Bay Packers aren’t pressuring Malik Willis into a full-time backup role just yet, despite Jordan Love’s impending return.

The former Tennessee Titans quarterback may be able to see the field in specific packages because to his dual-threat ability, according to reports from Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

“If he plays on Sunday, Love won’t be 100 percent, but keep an eye on (Matt) LaFleur possibly using Willis in a package to keep the Vikings on their toes — even if Willis doesn’t start, he could get on the field,” Russini stated. “The Vikings are preparing to see both Love and Willis on Sunday.”

Putting Love’s body in danger now while he’s still recovering from an MCL sprain isn’t the best course of action for Green Bay going forward. Which brings us to Willis’s legs.

Following the conclusion of the preseason, the Titans traded Willis to Green Bay. During the Titans’ 30-14 victory in Week 3, Willis made his return to Nashville and accomplished a career-best performance by completing 13 of 19 passes for 202 yards and one touchdown. He scored another score on six carries for 73 yards.

When asked if he would play for his old squad after the game, Willis chose the diplomatic route.

Willis told FOX, “I just gotta give all the praise, honor & glory to God for giving me another opportunity.” “It’s a blessing to be able to play this game at this level.”

Willis has appeaered in all three of Green Bay’s games to start the regular season and is 2-0 as a starter. He ran six times for 41 yards and completed 12 of 14 passes for 122 yards and one touchdown in the Week 2 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

The Titans will try to bounce back from a 0-3 start when they play the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football, even though Willis and the Packers are 2-1.
