Jerry Jones addresses fan frustrations amid Cowboys’ modest start

The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Cleveland Browns 33-17 to kick off the season with a bang. But the team’s momentum soon faded as they lost their next two games against the Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans Saints.

Even after the Cowboys defeated the New York Giants to end September, supporters are still dissatisfied with the way their team is playing.

The team’s poor defense, which has allowed 888 yards and 36 points per game on average in their two home losses, has been the main source of anxiety for the supporters.

More dissatisfaction stems from the Cowboys’ uneven running game (which ranks last in yards per game at 75.3) and run defense (which is ninth worst in yards allowed at 145.8).

In an interview with 1053 The Fan, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones addressed the dissatisfaction among the fans. Jones noted the team’s difficulties but stressed the value of long-term success and preparing for a successful postseason run.

See the good things in life. Expect us to be getting better,” Jones remarked. “I want to build to the climax of making it into the playoffs and then, when we do, becoming a much better team than we are now.” That, I believe, is what you’re observing.”
