Max Verstappen exit clause confirmed as Red Bull panic….

Max Verstappen could leave Red Bull, according to Helmut Marko, who acknowledges that there is a “danger” that he will “consider” leaving in the absence of a championship car.

After becoming well-known for the F1 World Championship in 2021, Verstappen went on a protracted reign of domination, winning the championships in 2022 and 2023 with Red Bull as the team and driver successfully navigated the new ground effect era. But those heydays of dominance are over.

Red Bull senses Max Verstappen’s departure as a “danger.”

Verstappen has now lost all eight of his Grand Prix races, as McLaren has become a formidable opponent. In the F1 2024 Constructors’ Championship standings, the Woking team has surpassed Red Bull to take the lead with 41 points, while Lando Norris has cut Verstappen’s advantage in the Drivers’ Championship to 52 points.

Even though Verstappen’s contract with Red Bull is set to expire at the end of 2028, there is still a lot of conjecture surrounding his future with the team. Mercedes and Aston Martin are two teams that keep coming up as potential suitors, and Verstappen has hinted at leaving Formula One early once more in the wake of his swearing penalty row with the FIA.

Furthermore, Verstappen has the option to opt out of his contract, which Red Bull senior adviser Marko expects him to explore until Red Bull can place him back in a position where he wins races. Marko did not dispute the existence of such procedures.

At the Singapore Grand Prix, Norris had his best F1 performance to date. He defeated Verstappen by 21 seconds, eradicating his start demons from pole position.
