NFL News: Andy Reid and Chiefs make final decision about blockbuster trade for Davante Adams

Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs are 4-0 and appear to be on track to win their third Super Bowl in a row. They are one of just two undefeated teams, alongside the Minnesota Vikings.

However, injuries might jeopardize all of those championship ambitions. Prior to Sunday’s game against the Chargers, the Chiefs had already lost Hollywood Brown (right shoulder) and Isiah Pacheco (fractured fibula). Rashee Rice sustained a crushing knee injury. If Patrick Mahomes wants a legitimate shot at the championship, a blockbuster deal might propel them to the top of the NFL standings. Of course, the biggest name available is Davante Adams.

Davante Adams has already requested a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders, but the Kansas City Chiefs will not pursue the star wide receiver, according to Adam Schefter. “While the Jets and Saints are interested in Adams, other teams continue to be interested in the Raiders wide out. Despite conjecture, Kansas City is not believed to be an option, according to sources.
