Reports have confirmed the Toronto Blue Jays are very interested in signing Roki Sasaki if the NPB allows him to become an MLB free agent as draws comparisons to Shohei Ohtani.
The Blue Jays have been clear about their desire to upgrade their starting pitcher rotation, even though their bullpen appears to be a priority this offseason after their starters struggled in 2024 as well. The Blue Jays are interested in signing Roki Sasaki if he becomes a free agency. Sasaki is a 23-year-old Japanese pitcher who has been dominating the NPB and has earned comparisons to Shohei Ohtani, who is widely regarded as the best player in the majors today.
