Lewis Hamilton was overjoyed by his fourth-place finish at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix as his Ferrari career finally starts to take shape.
The seven-time world champion enjoyed his best performance in red in the Scuderia’s first home race of the season at Imola on Sunday.
Hamilton had his highest Grand Prix finish with the Prancing Horse after a remarkable comeback from qualifying 12th in Italy. After finishing fifth in the big races this season, the 40-year-old, who won the Chinese Sprint, had a difficult season. However, Hamilton finished narrowly outside of the podium spots after using a number of safety cars to pass Alex Albon, George Russell, and Charles Leclerc, a teammate from Ferrari.
