Sad News: San Francisco 49ers Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall’s timeline for a return remains unclear after getting….

Ricky Pearsall, a rookie receiver for the 49ers, is making progress in his healing from a gunshot wound, but it’s unclear when he’ll be back.

He is eligible to be activated by the team from the non-football injury list following the Week 4 matchup with the Patriots.

As reported by David Bonilla of 49erswebzone.com on Wednesday, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan stated, “I’m not exactly sure the timeline, but I know he’s getting a lot healthier.”

Although 49ers general manager John Lynch has stated that he is confident Pearsall will play this season, the team is probably going to take their time getting him back.

The team’s first-round draft selection, Pearsall, was shot in the chest on August 31 during a robbery attempt. Before he is given the all-clear to resume playing football, his chest must recover completely.

Pearsall will need to make up some ground when he returns to practice because he missed a significant portion of training camp and the preseason due to a shoulder injury he sustained in college.
